Greyhounds have a long and rich history which should have earned them pride of place by our sides. First recorded more than 4,000 years ago, greyhounds are one of the oldest breeds of dog known to man. Revered by the ancient Egyptians, greyhounds are also the only dog breed mentioned by name in the bible.

Unfortunately, many greyhounds are left with nowhere to go after their racing careers have ended. The Greyhound Trust is an organisation that is dedicated to rescuing, caring for and rehoming ex-racing greyhounds from around the country. Greyhound Trust Harvel (Croftview) is the trusts original rehoming kennel, established in 1977, to date we've rehomed over 3,250 dogs and our mission is to ensure that eventually every greyhound will have a home when they retire.
